Why Vacuum Clamping?

Why Vacuum Clamping:- Vacuum clamping technology represents a useful change in work holding. Vac-Clamps offer this while being powered by compressed air!
A flow of compressed air is all that is required to make the vacuum generator work
By harnessing the force of atmospheric pressure, vacuum clamps deliver consistent, repeatable clamping force without the complexity of traditional mechanical systems. Whether you’re working with delicate veneers or solid hardwoods, vacuum clamping offers precision and reliability.

The key feature of Vac-Clamps is that they use compressed air to generate a vacuum. Almost any compressor will do the job.
You do not need a dedicated vacuum pump!
Robust in its construction and design means that these tool will tolerate an amazing amount of abuse and still keep working. The graphic below shows this very well. Simply keep the compressed air relatively clean, and they will last almost indefinitely.

Why Vacuum Clamping?
Even Pressure Distribution

Vacuum clamping applies uniform pressure across the clamped work surface, eliminating the marring and deformation caused by point-load clamping. Your workpieces remain unblemished and perfectly flat.

Faster Setup Time

Quick engagement and release mean less time spent positioning and removing clamps. Increase productivity with straightforward, repeatable setup processes.

Versatile Workpiece Compatibility

Vacuum clamping works with virtually any non-porous surface—wood, veneer, laminates, composites, and more—giving you flexibility across diverse projects.

What happens when I work with smaller pieces?

When smaller pieces are held, less surface area means less holding force. Indeed when using one third of a clamps surface the holding power is reduced by the same amount. This will still give 50Kg (110lbs) of holding power, which is more than ample for even the most rigorous work

How much power?

Vacuum cleaners produce a vacuum to about 9% of absolute vacuum. Vac-Clamps generate a vacuum pressure to 85% of absolute (-88kpa, -12.5psi @ supply pressure 685kpa,100psi). A vacuum pressure like this means that when you use the full face of the clamp, 150 kg of air is pushing to hold your workpiece

Different shapes to be held?

The seal channel in Vac-Clamps allow different shapes to be held. Moving the seal means that a part as small as 50mm x 100mm (2″ x 4″) could be held firmly. Certainly enough to be able to use a router on it.

Go Vertical

Air pressure is doing the work for you and it acts in all directions. This allows Vac-Clamps to be mounted in just about any direction. Vertical, horizontal and even upside down.
